Description
Handsome fold-out 1965 Sinclair road map of Arkansas and Louisiana, printed more than 55 years ago.The map opens to 18" x 29" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally.
Arkansas is on one side; Louisiana is on the other.
There are inset plans of Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Fort Smith, Little Rock, New Orleans, and Texarkana.
The map was distributed by the Sinclair Oil Company in 1965 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 5-5634-19. The number on the back cover is 65A.
The front cover artwork features an illustration of the Unisphere at the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, and on the back cover there's a view of
Dinoland
, Sinclair's dinosaur-themed exhibit at the fair.
Condition:
This map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with some ink writing in the upper corner of the front cover and
no
