Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

Used - Good Condition
If you're among the thousands who have played the Guild D-40, you'll be meeting an old friend in the G-212. This 12-string is built on a D-40 body and the same fine woods, a solid spruce top with a solid mahogany back and sides, in the familiar dreadnought shape and size that make the D-40 sound so full. While most of Guild's most iconic 12-strings used a jumbo-style body shape, the G-212 was made with a dreadnought shape. Superb Guild craftsmanship is evident throughout its construction, not only in the aforementioned body woods, but also in the 2-piece mahogany neck with dual truss rod, the rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, and a rosewood bridge. The repair on this guitar was actually professionally done by our in house luthier back in 1991 (when we first opened for business!) and sold to a local musician here in Richmond, Virginia. Here we are 29 years later and this majestic sounding Guild has returned to us with the repair work still holding up tremendously well! It is now time for this guitar to travel to a new home beyond the River City...maybe!
Cosmetic and Functionality Description
Body:
t
he bass side of the body has some easily noticeable cracks that have professionally repaired--there is some obvious wear in the finish around most of these repaired cracks as well;
typical blemishes for a guitar of this vintage can be seen on the top, back, and sides--
scuff marks, scratches, dings, and dents from years of playing
;
the cream binding around the top and back has a slightly aged tint to it;
the tortoise pickguard has some noticeable scratches on it from typical use
Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock:
the fretboard looks almost flawless; the back of the neck has plenty of scuff marks, scratches, and shallow dings and dents as well as chips and general wear in the finish, however these should not affect comfort or playability; the headstock has a few light scrapes that can be found around the sides and edges
Action and Playability:
there is some very slight bridge lift, however the action is about medium, plus the neck is straight and there is no heel separation
Frets:
moderate to heavy wear with some small grooves in the first three frets, however there is no buzzing or fret out at this time
Hardware:
all looks fantastic
