This antique original WWI era broadside poster was issued to recruit help recruit British subjects in the United States to serve in the British or Canadian Army. The poster has bold block capital letter text at the top that reads:
BRITISH SUBJECTS IT IS YOUR DUTY TO ENLIST IN THE BRITISH OR CANADIAN ARMY
Further particulars are provided and interested parties are invited to apply at US Army recruiting stations, the nearest British Consulate or at the Headquarters British Recruiting Mission at 280 Broadway in New York City.
This WWI era poster is printed one side only and shows moderate handling wear and some toning from age. The poster has a short tear of a bit less than two inches at the bottom center without paper loss and looks to have been folded slightly irregularly at one time. Overall condition is very good for this antique original.
